How Rewards Work in Swish & Dunk: Money, Tokens and Consumables

In Swish & Dunk nothing is for sale: everything your club owns, it earned on the court. This guide gathers every reward in the game in one place, with the real numbers: what a game is worth in each division, how many tokens a win brings, what you get for a promotion or a cup run, and the less obvious bonuses, such as the extra merchandise revenue from your players called up to their national team.

Rewards at a glance

Two currencies: club money and tokens

The game has two separate currencies. Club money pays player and staff wages, arena upkeep and expansions, and your bids on the transfer market. Tokens are the special currency: they open packs, buy consumables, upgrade facilities and unlock new arenas. Neither can be bought: there are no in-app purchases and no ads.

Every new manager starts on equal terms: $500,000 in the bank, 50 tokens and one consumable of each type (a Rest Pack, a Treatment Pack and a Morale Booster). From there on, everything depends on results.

What every game is worth

Every game played counts, not just the ones you win. Regular season, playoffs, friendlies and cup ties all pay in the same way:

TV rights and the win bonus grow with your division:

DivisionTV rights per gameWin bonus
Division 1$800,000$100,000
Division 2$710,000$90,000
Division 3$635,000$80,000
Division 4$565,000$70,000
Division 5$500,000$60,000
Division 6$440,000$50,000
Division 7$385,000$40,000
Division 8$335,000$30,000
Division 9$290,000$20,000
Division 10$250,000$10,000

In the cup the two teams can come from different divisions: each one gets the TV rights and win bonus of its own division.

At home, tickets depend on your arena, your prices and your place in the standings: a team near the top fills the stands, one near the bottom far less. Merchandise depends on the level of your Team Store:

Team StoreMerchandise per home game (approx.)
Level 1$20,000
Level 2$30,000
Level 3$50,000
Level 4$100,000
Level 5$250,000

The actual figure varies by 15% either way from game to game, and a Chief Revenue Officer adds 2% per level, up to +10% at level 5.

The Finances screen in Swish & Dunk with the balance chart, income and expenses
The Finances screen shows every game's income line by line: TV rights, tickets, merchandise and win bonus.

Income is only half of the ledger: salaries, staff and arena maintenance are paid at every game too. Our economy guide breaks down every expense and every revenue stream.

The national team bonus

The S&D World Cup doesn't pay prizes to clubs, but it does pay off indirectly. Every player of yours called up to his national team boosts your merchandise sales at every home game for as long as he stays in the squad: $20,000 per game for a player rated 70 or lower, $1,500 more for every Overall point above 70, up to $50,000 for a player rated 90 or higher. Two or three internationals on the roster turn into a solid regular income. Called-up players also get a special card, explained in our guide to cards and pack odds.

The daily reward

Once a day you can claim 1 token. The counter resets at midnight Central European Time. It's deliberately small: it rewards coming back, not staying online all day, which is why wins are always worth more.

Promotion prizes

At the end of the season both finalists of each group's playoffs move up a division, and both get tokens: the higher the division they reach, the more tokens. The team that wins the final also takes a cash prize.

Promoted toTokens (both finalists)Cash (final winner)
Division 950$200,000
Division 860$300,000
Division 770$400,000
Division 680$500,000
Division 590$600,000
Division 4100$700,000
Division 3150$800,000
Division 2200$900,000
Division 1250$1,000,000

In Division 1 there is nowhere higher to go: the team that wins the top flight's final gets $3,000,000. Every final winner also adds a division title to its trophy cabinet. Relegation costs nothing directly, but in a lower division TV rights and win bonuses shrink.

Swish & Dunk Cup prize money

The Swish & Dunk Cup is a knockout tournament open to every club, and every round you win pays prize money. The amounts are tied to how far the round is from the final, so they hold whatever the size of the bracket:

Round wonPrize
Early rounds (before the last 128)$20,000 each
Round of 128$40,000
Round of 64$80,000
Round of 32$150,000
Round of 16$250,000
Quarterfinal$400,000
Semifinal$700,000
Final: winner / runner-up$2,000,000 / $1,000,000

A bye in the first round pays like a win. On top of the prizes, every cup game also brings TV rights, the win bonus and 3 tokens like any other game. In the last edition, with a 512-team bracket, the winner collected over $3.6 million in prize money alone, plus the trophy.

Trophies and individual awards

Some rewards are worth no money but stay forever. Division titles and the cup go into your club's trophy cabinet. The MVP, the Defensive Player of the Year and the Finals MVP earn a badge on the player's card, with a counter when he wins the same award more than once.

What to spend tokens on

Tokens come in slowly, so every choice counts. They pay for packs (5 to 100 tokens), consumables (3 to 5 tokens), facility upgrades (50 to 500 tokens per level) and arenas (100 to 925 tokens). Pack contents and odds are explained in detail in our guide to cards and probabilities.

Four tips to earn more

  1. Play every game to win, friendlies included. Every win is worth 3 tokens, whatever the competition.
  2. Take the cup seriously. A deep run can earn more than a whole season of win bonuses.
  3. Upgrade the Team Store early. It pays at every home game, season after season.
  4. Value your internationals. A player called up to his national team is worth up to $50,000 extra per home game.
